As part of the engineering management my main goal was to grow a healthy and collaborative team. I did my best to keep everyone happy and productive by resolving conflicts, organizing team building activities, assisting with career development and helping engineers achieve their own personal and professional goals. I also interacted with other teams to define new requirements, feature development and process improvement.

Trying to keep in touch with the code as much as possible I did some architecture and development of features/tools/prototypes, mostly related with GIS.

Worked together with the Engineering Manager to keep all team members comfortable and happy. I also did software architecture and development, mostly for GIS stuff.

Joined Ceres team to work on GIS data flow and full-stack development. Worked on the web application, mainly with the mapping components. Created a Tile Server using Mapnik and Express. Also worked on scripting tools to automatize image processing using Python and GDAL.

Joined the IT team of SIASAR project to lead and develop the GIS stack. During this time I've created GeoDashboard, an open source and free web library to display data as maps and widgets using OGC standards.

Also led the development of the multi-platform mobile application and played the role of SysAdmin managing all the servers and services involved in the project. As an extra, I also helped with some Drupal tasks, mainly related with the API that communicates with the mobile app.

SIASAR project is completely open. Every tool involved is FOSS, everything we have developed is published with free licenses and all data collected is also available.

Joined Buoy to work on multiple projects/clients with an array of technology stacks. Particular focus/expertise in Ruby on Rails but also experienced with several web frameworks and toolchains, including Node.js, Angular.js, and React.js. I have played varying roles within the projects, from individual contributor to project lead.

Joined the OSGeo Spanish speaking local chapter with the main goal of promote and expand the use of the Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial in our region. Became member of the Board of Directors of OSGeo-es at 2011 and co-founded GeoinquietosAR at 2012, a local community built around free geomatics in Argentina whom organized the first FOSS4G conference in LatinAmerica at 2013.

Led a distributed team of developers working for Equifax, specially on their ID theft protection product TrustedID. This was a long trip of ~4.5 years where I was involved in many different subprojects and duties, from Scrum Master to QA automation developer. It was a great experience and I learnt a lot about how to manage remote teams and clients.

Besides my daily tasks I was in charge of Deviget team located in Mendoza. This involved recruitment, company's culture transmission, shared office management, team trips and social events organization. I'm very proud to say that even we are not working together anymore we still receive the visit of ex collages from different cities in our coworking space.

Hired by the Ministry of Agroindustry from Argentina to help the GIS department of the Subsecretary of Forestal Development to migrate all their tools to FOSS. Within the tools change we have fully redesigned their daily workflow and the way they generate and publish geodata.

Joined the Project 'Mapa Educativo' of the Ministry of Education from Argentina to help the team to develop new tools, deploy SDI (Spatial Data Infrastructure) nodes all around the country and give e-learning and on-site training about FOSS4G tools for national and local government agencies.

Led the IT team (up to 19 members) and managed projects for several industries like precision agriculture, real estate, geomarketing, plague control, mining, cadastre and local government.
