The existing code creates a transform with CGAffineTransform(rotationAngle: -.pi / 2), resulting in CGAffineTransform(a: 0.0, b: -1.0, c: 1.0, d: 0.0, tx: 0.0, ty: 0.0). If I change it to the approximated CGAffineTransform(rotationAngle: -1.5708), the resulting transform (CGAffineTransform(a: -3.61999e-06, b: -1.0, c: 1.0, d: -3.61999e-06, tx: 0.0, ty: 0.0)) has slight imprecision to its rotation, but has the desired visual effect.
