Hi there, Thanks for suggesting this, and sorry for the slow reply. I developed this code to primarily work with volcanoes and included the Okada wrapper for sills and dykes. It was easy to extend this to earthquakes, but when I did this I did not think the magnitudes were correct, hence the comment.
I have tried the fix you suggested and, whilst this improves things, I still don't think the magnitudes are correct (though they are closer). I will look at it in more detail next week.

thank you for your replay, I checked the results from your code with the results from https://github.com/geniusinaction/okapy/blob/master/okada_ascending_descending.ipynb with okada wrapper . The results were the same except for the different epsilon ratios to the two codes. the epsilon ratio in okada wrapper is alpha = (lmda + mu) / (lmda + 2 * mu) # elastic constant used by Okada
, which is strange to me.
