Maitreya8 crashes in Configuration Selection/Configuration TYPO. about maitreya8 HOT 2 OPEN

In maitreya7 the fault exists, but in a slightly different way.
Under Configuration ----> View ----> Object Colors ----> Planets ... ALL Objects listed CAN BE Selected without causing an instant program termination ...
BUT ...
Only the colors on the first eleven items of the list CAN BE CHANGED. If you select a New Object Color for "Dragon Tail" - or any item below it - when you click "Apply": the color reverts to it's prior value. It CAN NOT be changed!
If you attempt to change the foreground color, of any of the LAST 18 Objects, in the Planets drop down selector list: it will revert to its prior selection ... when you click Apply.
This is what happens with maitreya7 Version 7.1.1 running OS Version: Mac OS X 10.12.6 (16G2016)
I can still reliably cause maitreya8 Version 8.0.1 to instantly crash ... by selecting Vesta from this Same drop down selection list ... so the rot in the color selector code goes back 4 years to at least version 7.1.1 .

The exact same Typo is visible in the Config Panel of maitreya7 ... it, too, is over 4 years old.

Just thought you'd LIKE a bug report ... and would attempt to fix it with the next release ... it is HARD to pinpoint these deep little faults in the code and report them ... so if you'd rather I'd NOT ... I won't file any further "Bug Reports" on ANY Version of maitreya.

I don't know what I did to get this error. (I think I might have accidentally tried to export something.)
I was looking at the different skins and the one I was on when this came up was "Default: Signs Rotated."

And now you have FIVE Bug reports in the space of the listing for ONE ... a BARGAIN!!! I seem to bring out the Worst in this Program ... I'm just getting to KNOW It and I cause it to spit up and/or quit without trying!!
