What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run Win 7 64-bit
2. Install VLC 2.0.2 64-bit (experimental)
3. Try to add a "VLC camera" to iSpy
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to add a camera as always.
What I get is a challenge saying I have to download VLC 2.0.0 or later!
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
4.5.1.0, on Win 7 64-bit
Please provide any additional information below.
I used to have the 32-bit version of VLC installed, took it away, why would I
need it on a 64-bit machine? But alack and alas.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Allow any camera to record on motion
2. Check web interface. Multiple copies of each recording are listed in File
Manager. Some recordings show twice, some show up three times. In screenshot
that I provided below, there are actually only 4 recordings on the server.
Screenshot: http://imgur.com/9XwJd
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
One recording per event. Instead, multiple recordings listed.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Upgraded to 4.6.30 today. Also has the same issue with 4.6.0.0. Running
Windows 8 Release Preview 64-bit on both the server and remote computer.

When viewing a recording with iSpy Viewer (clip generated by a motion detection
event) if you close the iSpy Viewer window without first stopping the video,
iSpy becomes unresponsive and requires a force close.
When iSpy is reopened, the clip that was being viewed when the crash occurred
is no longer available.
If you stop the playing video first and then close the window, it closes
correctly.
Running 4.5.4.0 on Windows 7 x64, 4 Gigs RAM.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enabling 'Alerts'
2. Using any 'Display Style'
3. Using any 'Detector'
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect an Alert to be triggered, but periodically what happens is that the
'Detection Zones' window will go black (with or without a user drawn
rectangular detection zone), and no alert is triggered. Program must be
completely restarted to allow Alerts again.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v4.6.6.0. A PC with an up-to-date XP.
Please provide any additional information below.
Great program, but a bad bug has made iSpy useless for me, even with this
newest v4.6.6.0 update. What happens, periodically throughout the day, is that
iSpy completely stops Alerting. It simply cannot "see" anything to Alert too:
Every time this happens, I go to Edit Camera, Motion Detection, Detection
Zones, and find that the Detection window is now black, with no image. The
main iSpy window, however, shows the camera's image just fine. iSpy must be
rebooted to work again.

I have cameras that provide RTSP and MJPEG streams that are already
time-stamped and well compressed. When iSpy recompresses the video it wastes
system resources and reduces image quality.
Unmodified video streams also have greater evidentiary value in court.
My request for enhancement is therefore:
* Add a "passthrough" recording profile that does not transform the input
stream before writing it to the storage area.

I have tried to manually forward my ports. I have tried to automatically

say they are correctly. I have reset my router to factory settings twice. I
have gone with noip.com for DNS address. I have turned off my firewall. I have
turned off and uninstalled my antivirus. Nothing works. I have also tried to
embed the camera on my website here:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Record on Movement Detection
2. Varying sensitivities
3. Trigger the movement detectino - iSpy records but doesn't stop after
inactivity period, when display shows no motion detected
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
iSpy will stop recording when it reaches the max record time, however it won't
stop after the motion stops and it pases the inactivity period. Only workaround
at the moment is to have short max record times.

I checked out the latest sources (r17, 8/24/12) and my build failed, likely
because TalkNetworkKinect.cs is not included in the sources.
Here the message I got:

Also, there is a warning that component 'Microsoft.Kinect' could not be found.
Could Microsoft.Kinect be included with the source? (In DLLs?)

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. ALPR Plugin installed like described, Functionality visible in iSpy's HMI
2. Enter a Number in allow list, activate to "beep"
3. Focus camera to a license Plate
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected:
-Licence Plate is (hopefully) recognised
Observed:
-iSpy closes exactely in the moment, when the licenseplate (or somethings that
looks similar) comes into focus of camera.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
4.5.4.0
ALPR Plugin: downloaded version on Oktober 12th
Please provide any additional information below.
Checking iSpy's logfiles:
Nothing in it (beside starting Numberplate and Overlay dlls)
No difference if I choose "Continuous" or "When Movement"
Camera resolution was 320x240p, Licenseplate big enough to be recognised
properly
100% reproducible
Running on Windows XP 32bit
Beside this issue iSpy is very reliable.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to recording settings for a camera
2. Set Max. record time insanely high like 999999999

a new video file for every second recorded. This results in huge video file
spam which messes everything up.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install iSpy on a box with low CPU power (I suppose this could be simulated
with running some higher-priority process that eats a large chunk of the CPU?)
2. Set up some remote cameras and at least one local (requires some CPU power).
The average framerate for all cameras is less than 1 FPS.
3. Trigger the motion detector in some cameras, so that recording starts
What is the expected output?
1) The schedule applying correctly
2) The recording stopping whenever there is no movement anymore
What do you see instead?
1) The schedule doesn't apply - I often see a camera on that should have been
off hours ago
2) Recording doesn't stop at all (fills upto the maximum file system's
filesize), or occasionally stops after a significant amount of time, despite
not having motion detection events
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v4.3.7.0 on Windows XP
Please provide any additional information below.
I suppose the problem is with the low frame rate of the cameras - iSpy's event
handlers are probably tied to them hitting in a particular second or something
like that?
When the local camera that eats most of the CPU is disabled, this bug doesn't
seem to occur anymore.

Hello,
I use iSpy 4.5.4.0 since a few weeks (Windows XP Pro SP3 up to date ; Intel
Core2Duo E4500 2,2GHz ; 2Gb RAM ; Microsoft WebCam).
I was till now using motion detection only and didn't encounter any problem
with iSpy.
Since I use full time recording over the night, iSpy crashes every morning
after about 4Gb of recorded video.
See above the logs.

to see the video wheather its live graber or any other vidow, I get a blue box
with a questions mark inside. It is a tiny blue box in the middle in both the
overview and when trying to see the video. It's similar to what windows does
when a file is not recognized. I tried to change the format in ispy like your
help section says to do but that doesn't change my outcome. I've tryed all

still work but remote (external) access to view your cameras and microphones

Your port mapping seems to be OK - try turning your router off and on again.
