Another interesting case would be to match OSM name with changeset comment.
E.g: https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/3367156759

comment_osm_name_same

Here the OSM name is matching to the changeset comment but not to the name tag. One thing to keep in mind is, these business related edits will not have more edits.

Another example to look around. The name tag matches the OSM name. https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/4556945612#map=19/30.30145/-81.75134

  • Changeset comment Desire Escorts an agency with the most gorgeous girls in Amsterdam if you need some special treatment call our agency for a booking with one of our Escort Amsterdam ladies.
  • Added tags name=Escort Amsterdam
  • Username Desire Escorts Amsterdam

There's a repeat of the word desire escort and amsterdam

Found another case where OSM user is adding their name as value for the features/tags they add.

uname

From here, it looks like we want a compare function and possibly an osmcha filter for username in changeset comment.

For the compare function:

  • Check name tags? All tags? Where the username is contained in the value of the tag. If the username is contained as the value in any of the tags we want to check, we flag it. Question: What tags do we want to check? Only name, all name: tags, or ALL tags, or some list of tags? I see in @srividyacb's last example, the name is in a ref tag.

Once we have the list of tags, this should be easy to write. Someone want to step up to write this? Am happy to guide.

@batpad Its not just name tags. If any tag change in that changeset which is having some parts of the OSM username are suspicious and should be flagged.

Can I try this? never tried a compare function 😉
