Just discovered additional context if I try to reload the integration

Having the same device configured in tuya-local and localtuya is not supported, and could cause this type of issue.

In any case, your report seems to be duplicating #1804, and the later comment #1981, which is a new issue in HA 2024.6

I see the log message shows the communication is cycling through the protocol versions trying to find the right one. The device may be taking too long to recover from these attempts, so the correct protocol attempt times out before it recovers.

You may get better results by setting the protocol version explicitly.
