Bug: A newer version of iTunes is already installed about autodmg HOT 8 CLOSED

Yes, this is due to installer evaluating the host system rather than the target system when installing the package. Hasn't AutoDMG auto-updated its list of update profiles though? I published an update with 11.1.3 two days ago and it should have picked it up. Does it give you 11.1.3 if you update with ⌘U?

This was my first test since 0.7. It was a fresh install of 1.1.

I figure a simple check for new updates on launch would fix this.

It does check on startup, unless you turned it off in the preferences.

⌘U works though? If not, what does the debug log say?

Yes, it worked, but it didn't do it at startup. I still had it running from last night and it was still showing 11.1.2 until I did ⌘U. At that time, it changed to 11.1.3, but would not allow me to download it until I relaunched the app. I created #17 to address that though.

It only checks once per day, and only when the application starts.

Would you prefer that I create a new report stating that 1.1 did not check for updates on startup?

I'm going to regard it as a fluke this time, but if you don't get the next update automatically please create a new issue and attach the debug log. You can see it checking for it starting with "Checking for updates".

Since this issue has wandered off a bit I'm closing it since the original issue is expected (if unwanted) behavior.
