Yup, that's what I did
However, I also locked to that specific commit to make sure I don't pull in any unexpected changes:
gem 'trix', github: 'pbmarcano/trix', ref: 'fec4195a8e3dae9773c3157046e6d6ddf50bd7c3'

If you are interested in v0.10 before this PR is accepted, you can always edit your Gemfile to my repo.
Just replace gem 'trix' with:
gem 'trix', :git => 'https://github.com/pbmarcano/trix', :branch => 'master'
followed by a good ol' bundle install
from trix.
