The error is caused by an extra ? in tree\tree.d.ts:

Current:

predict(X?: Type2DMatrix<string | boolean | number>): any[];

If the ? is removed, the error will not occur:

predict(X: Type2DMatrix<string | boolean | number>): any[];

from machinelearnjs.

Hey @FranklinWhale , thanks for reporting this. I will take a look at it soon. Just thinking, we should be able to just remove the optional flag. For the time being, if you need a walk around, try disabling TS just for the predict methods while using machinelearn.js
