Timeout issue only with web client on RAILS3 about nestful HOT 4 OPEN

It seems like Nestful is holding up the connection for a minute and die by timeout error and then GET request started and fullfilled. Why is Nestful holding up and what is it waiting for?

I put :timeout => 90000000 so it won't time out but it still takes more than a minute, which only took miliseconds in ruby client.

I seem to be hitting pretty much the exact same issue. I am making a GET request to an external API and receive a timeout and then I immediately get the GET request result. CURL works fine etc, however this issue seems to not be limited to Nestful, the exact same issue happens using RestClient?
