'New participant' pop-up not dismissed when "Submit" is clicked. about rallly HOT 6 CLOSED

Assuming this is on a self-hosted instance, would you be able to check the server logs to see if there are any errors? My guess is the server is hanging while trying to send an email out or something similar. In the next release this would be resolved since we no longer wait for emails to be sent before resolving the request.

Thanks for reaching out. Yes. My instance is self-hosted (Ubuntu 22.04).

I didn't see anything in the logs that would indicate something hanging while waiting for an email. When voting on a poll I tested it by filling in an email, and not filling in an email (examples below). In both cases the popup window still hangs, but when I fill-in an email address, Rallly does properly send a "Vote Received" email as expected.

It seems like the latest update may have fixed this issue. Would love to get a second confirmation on this.

I think if it's fixed it's because the latest update does not block the request while sending an email. So not sure if it's entirely resolved but would love to hear from others who've had this issue as I've not been able to reproduce it myself.
