Hi there,
I don't see myself working on this project much in the future. It was fun to develop this feature but there are massive shortcomings.
- The installation is almost impossible to do (even when it still worked)
- The code is really bad
- The UI has some serious bugs
If anyone wants to fix these things, this addon would probably be well received, but I wouldn't blame them for starting from scratch.
As you said, there is not much interest in video editing at the moment, but I think this will change in the near future.
With all these image based tasks being revolutionized by AI the next logical step will be videos.
