Hello @songjianboy, thank you for your report.
The purpose of gem compiler is be able to compile gems that contains C extensions as native code for the current platform. The gem you're trying to compile does not include a C extension and thus, is failing.
This is the expected behavior of gem compiler.
You can use this with other gems like json, oj, nokogiri and others.
