Git icon about lucide HOT 8 CLOSED

The bigger issue here, I think, is that the Git logo is simply not very Lucide-compatible. This is the best I could come up with so far and it's nowhere near guideline compliant:

Feel free to use it though, just as long as you credit Jason Long, who originally designed the Git logo.

It kind of is, yeah. An open source brand, but a brand nonetheless.

Technically, since its logo is licensed under CC, we should be able to adapt it to fit Lucide's guidelines, as long as we provide attribution to Jason Long, the original designer, but for the time being forcing such attribution whenever this icon would be used is just not possible.
