The first plugin is quite slow on updating the minimap when rapidly moving through a long file.
Also noticed that mouse support is really janky.

The second plugin relies on MacVim/gVim, which is completely unacceptable.

An alternative solution for this is to use the tagbar plugin, you can toggle it with F8, it doesn't really follow the cursor but gives you a much more useful outline of the file based on ctags.
