Never used it before but I'm could try it out. Looks neat. Maybe set it up and push to a branch? I'd be OK with master but a branch would be less intrusive at least.

Why did you have to take it away originally?

I'm too much of a vim novice to have a strong opinion either way.

If I do that I'll either figure out how to automatically install the
patched font or redesign the default looks to be decent on a regular font.

@jfmyers9 https://github.com/jfmyers9 suggested that I make it opt-in,
but I'm not quite sure how that interaction would be. I like the buffers on

Don't know what others might think of it.

I took it out because of the dependency it has on the custom font. But decided that it might be worth trying out to automate this.
I ask mostly because I want to have this be more collaborative in order to build a better Vim for everyone rather then just me.

Any input is greatly appreciated.

You know I'm already running with it so I'd be happy to have it. I'm not sure there's a good way to check for the existence of the patched font (even if it exists, it may not be getting used by the current terminal) but given it's only one flag to enable or disable the powerline fonts, that doesn't seem like such a big deal.

Sounds good to me.

Will it gracefully degrade (same colours, no arrows) without the font installed?

Ideally. Yes I'll work on it tonight and see where I arrive.
