Pressing Super+Shift+Left/Right does the trick for me.

+1, mousing windows around is really slow and awkward when giving presentations. This issue appears to be just for the "window menu," which is related to the keyboard shortcut issue, I guess?

+1. Also, please add to available action for title bar double/middle/right click. DisplayFusion has this feature is probably the only thing I miss from windows.

This was implemented (I think by you autarkper?). It's there in 2.2 anyway :)

Oh sorry, I see what you mean. This is possible from the window list, but not from the muffin titlebar menu. Re-opening.

This is also possible from the Scale view, by right clicking a window you can move it to a different monitor.
Can one bind a keyboard shortcut to the same command? It would save a lot of mouse action if I could map this to CTRL+ALT+m and have the current window jump between monitors.
I am on cinnamon 2.2.13 using Arch.

I would like to have this feature too. Pressing Super+Left moves the current window to occupy the left half of the screen. If you press it again, maybe it could move the window to fill the right half of the next screen over, as with Windows 7.

@clefebvre what is the window list?

ahmadnassri avatar ahmadnassri commented on August 18, 2024

@still-dreaming-1: window list == window panel

The version of Mint I have is running 2.4.8 so I don't have the keyboard shortcut. I found this that solved it for me: https://github.com/ntowbinj/switch-monitor

Has there been any movement with this requested feature?

Never mind, I found the solution
