do you know why you don't have localStorage? Can I know what browser you're using? Just curious, I'm setting up fallbacks anyway

@ornicar Great to hear that. Lol this morning? What a coincidence, today I removed localStorage intentionally, from my Firefox 21. I only noticed it was on because another website was giving me personalized results and was driving me crazy, I thought it was fingerprinting me or something. So yeah, probably not many saw lichess broken.

Okay the site should now work for you. I think you should still try to disable localStorage only for selected sites. It's a great tool for developers.

Yeah, unfortunately it can also be used for tracking, and I don't like where the world is heading on this matter (see NSA news). And browsers don't seem to care. For instance, a sane default is to have cookies enabled, but third party cookies disabled, which is the new default for Firefox; but it doesn't affect localStorage, and it can be abused to track your activity. Also, I have always used an addon that lets you remove cookies for a website with one click (useful if you want to log in with a different account and don't want them to become linked), but I haven't found a way to do the same with localStorage.
