I noticed that recently, spam comments appear randomly in between the discussions, which I can't see in the YC website.

I'll post some screenshots.

I've been using this app for quite some time. Now that I have a new phone, I'd like to transfer my bookmarks to it. But this currently is not possibly without transferring the whole application.

Having export functionality would also help with opening the bookmarks on other devices like a computer.

If you have a lot of bookmarks saved, it's difficult to get to the latest bookmarks, because they are at the bottom of the bookmark list. You have to scroll through all the bookmark entries to get to the most recently saved bookmark.

Having a way to reverse the sorting or a "jump to bottom" option would help a lot. Often times you access your latest bookmarks more frequently, so such an option would help considerably and improve user experience.

I spent the past two hours trying to skirt around shitty android dev tools just trying to retrieve the SQLite database Hews uses because I need the bookmarked links stored in it and there's apparently no other way to get them without copying every link manually

And for your efforts, I will donate $20 if you can get this feature added before the end of February ❤️

F-Droid is the standard package manager for open source Android apps.

Many users prefer to get and manage their open source apps from there, so I'd strongly suggest adding it there.

To Reproduce:

1. Open Hews
2. Open a link to a hacker news comment page from another app (Pocket for example)
3. Choose to open with Hews
4. App crashes

Hey just saw your post in HN , i am a developer for Cloudmagic the android app and i have been looking for collaborating on some young projects . Too much of contrib activity goes on for bigger projects , I was thinking of helping here .

Tell me what could be done next and whats in your mind for this app ? Well the icon sure does look a little out of the place, i will look into taking to a designer at my place and get some help in making the icon , till then what else ?

Thank you for the awesome work! I really enjoy the AMOLED Black theme, but I wish the app changed the system navigation buttons (tasks, home, back) from white to black like many apps (e.g. Chrome) do. Any way to fix this?

I switched to a new ROM over the weekend, and went to install Hews, but it's no longer available on Google Play. Do you have any plans to publish it again, or should I switch to another client?

Widget would be awesome. For Redmi, adding to news feed would be great addition

Tapping on a story, then tapping on the comments button on the top nav bar takes me to a blank view. All functions in the nav bar in this view are also broken and cause a crash when tapped.

The comment button on the story list view works and is the view I expected from the above mentioned button.

Recently tried to open the top-scoring link on Hacker News & found that Hews could not open it & crashed.
The specific link that was submitted was: "HTTPS://status.signal.org/"
My gut-feeling is that the capital "HTTPS" is causing this failure.
