Analysis

The game checks DeathEventTableWithTextID in spite of game story mode, while it checks DeathEventTableLynMode or DeathEventTableEliwoodHectorMode according to current game story mode (Lyn/Eliwood/Hector).
Alfonse(Eliwood)'s & Anna(Hector)'s death event is defined in DeathEventTableEliwoodHectorMode, while Sharena(tutorial Lyn)'s is defined in DeathEventTableLynMode.
BTW: the US version uses 0x43 as any Chapter, while the JP version uses 0x45 (Ascii: 'E').



BTW2: charaterID 0xf is Louise and charaterID 0x15 is Pent, so the couple is hardcoded & special.

Solution

• Copy Alfonse(Eliwood)'s & Anna(Hector)'s death event entry from DeathEventTableLynMode to DeathEventTableEliwoodHectorMode.
• Another way is to add them to DeathEventTableWithTextID.
