Day Job

I am the Manager of Technical Support at Progress Software. My team and I provide technical assistance for developers using the Telerik and Kendo UI devtools. I absolutely love writing code and watching it come alive in the user's hands. My passion is mostly UI, but also the things that powers that UI... from backend APIs to AI-powered fun.

As an example, check out Flusher, the complete system that flushes the toilet for my cat using Windows IoT, SignalR, Azure Custom Vision and Xamarin Forms to Flush a Toilet.

Investigation ARM64 Dockerfile build

I have written a dedicated workflow in a branch just for building and deploying the container image to the GitHub registry

When using multi-platform build target, or single platform target, the arm64 image doesn't work:

docker buildx build --push --platform 'linux/arm64,linux/amd64' -t "ghcr.io/lancemccarthy/secretsmocker:latest" -f Dockerfile .

I am always getting a bad DLL at runtime on ARM 64 devices (Raspberry Pi4 for this test):

Note: These items are using the rick-chet-tester branch

The only workaround I have figured out thus far is to use the dotnet publish command with a p:PublishContainer flag. This is being used in the production workflow
