Wanted to share some of my limited knowledge. The vjoy config settings
seemingly reverting to default is normal. Even though it shows the default
settings once you open it again does not mean the custom settings you chose has
not been registered. Just choose the correct settings and press OK and you
should be good. I was also confused about this but found this out on the vjoy
forum somewhere. As for why your setup isn't working I do not know. I have been
using Revision 19 on Windows 7 64-bit without issues. The fact that Windows
doesn't even recognize the controller would seem to indicate that something
went wrong with the usb-32 drivers. Did you install the official drivers
properly before installing usb-32? I know that at least the official 360
wireless adapter drivers can be a hassle to install.

As gravve mentioned, the vJoy configuration application is somewhat unique in
that it doesn't store any previously set parameters. I assume this is because
the way Windows stores the vJoy configuration, in a hex format. Parsing this
back out may not be a trivial task.
If the keyboard is working fine, then the application and usb32-filter driver
works; the connections are being made and the data is being received. My guess
is a problem is with your vJoy installation. Does a controller even appear in
joy.cpl? If not, then vJoy is definitely the culprit...my application only
feeds the vJoy controller.
My recommendation is to attempt a clean re-install of vJoy. If the problem
persists, the best I can do is point you to vJoy's website to get additional
support. Unfortunately I don't know anything about vJoy's development.

Hi Guys,
This is Shaul, the owner of vJoy. I learnt about this application from one of
it users that came to me complaining about vJoy. The basic complaint was that
vJoy does not keep its calibrations, or this is what I understood.
Let me try to explain two things:
1. vJoy is a driver, not an application. This means that in most cases it is a
part of an application package that encapsulate it. It also means that in most
cases the end user should not be aware of its existence. vJoy comes with a few
utilities including a configuration utility - but it is meant to be adapted by
the developer of the application package.
2. Once a vJoy device is installed, enabled and configured - its configuration,
including calibration is retained BY THE SYSTEM. However, every time the user
changes the configuration, vJoy considers this as installing of a new device
hence resets the configuration. It is quite possible to re-write the
configuration tool to store the calibration but this is the duty of however
chooses to re-write it.

Closing as there has been no feedback from the authors in 3 months.
@Shaul
Thanks for the information. At one point I had originally attempted to use the
registry key method of configuring the vJoy device, but my attempts ended in
failure. Is it possible you could email me with the preferred method of
configuring the device via the feeder application. Thanks.
