Controller not detected by operating system about xbox360wirelesschatpad HOT 5 CLOSED

Given that the controller light is on, assuming it's indicating player 1, I 
believe the problem is with the vJoy installation. Please double check that 
vJoy was installed properly, and that you've run the vJoy configuration 
application with the appropriate settings. Perhaps try running it as 
Administrator.

Unfortunately, a controller appearing in the calibration utility is vJoy's 
task. This application is simply a "feeder" into that controller. You might 
have better luck getting support at their website:

I'm sorry before I read this message downgraded my PC to windows 8 again, so I 
can't test it anymore in Windows 8.1, I'm going to do a fresh install of this 
controllers, I'll let you know how it follows.

I'm running Windows 8, though not 8.1, and the controller would not work for me 
either.  I ran Xbox 360 Wireless Chatpad.exe as admin and compatibility for 
Windows 7 and so far everything seems good.

I apologize for the rather late response, been busy with other projects.

To both of ya'll, does the vJoy controller appear in joy.cpl after installation 
on Windows 8/8.1?
