cron not working even though it has a task to run about django-crontab HOT 6 CLOSED

Tried to copy/paste the crontab line into the cli? Can you run this in the commandline (outside of the virtualenv):

/home/isimar/.virtualenvs/django16/bin/python /home/isimar/project/manage.py crontab run 1ac092f177e6b21c85c301d59022d7f6 >> /home/isimar/project/roomer/cron_log/my_scheduled_job.log 2>&1

Do you rely on any environment variables within your project? They are usually not set, when stated from cronrab.

Maybe we should check if the command really runs before checking for
misconfiguration. Please put something into your manage.py - at top before
anything that comes from django. something like:

with open("/home/isimar/test.log", "a") as f:
    f.write("started")

That activate the cronjob and tail the file.

I contacted my hosting service (Pythonanywhere), they told me they don't support crontab for users.
