I could reproduce that issue on my local machine also. I think the setup instructions were wrong. And here's how I could run tests from the command line.

./mvnw install -Dmaven.test.skip=true
./mvnw test -Dtest=Exercise1Test#findRichCustomers -pl stream-api

Or the easiest way is to use an IDE (e.g. IntelliJ). You can run tests by just right clicking on the test methods and click "Run foobar()".

Anyways I will fix the instructions in the readme. Thank you for sharing this.
