Well, did you generated correctly the personal token in your digital ocean API & Apps panel? Try updating the library and using a new generated API token... maybe we fixed the problem during the last commit.

Consider that we are working on this branch to integrate correctly and in a better (KISS) way the APIv2. So if you want to use python-digitalocean in a "stable" way, please install it via pip or using the branch called APIv1.

from the commit 6439dab the method change_kernel is implemented correctly in the Droplet class. Can you test it? You can even get all the kernels objects using the method get_kernel_available
