Waleed Khamies - Applied ML Scientist

I am Waleed, an applied scientist. and ML grad. I am passionate about learning semantic representations from multimodal data. Also, I am interested in mapping these inferred meanings to autonomous actionable insights.

Previously, I worked as a research engineer intern at Mila under the supervision of Liam Paull, where my research focused on developing deep learning models that are suitable to robotics applications in noisy scenarios. I received my master at AMMI in Mathematical sciences/Machine learning, where I worked in interpretability of reinforcement learning under the supervision of George konidaris, previously I received my bachelor degree at UofK in Electrical and electronics engineering, where I worked under the supervision of Benjamin Rosman.

No need to tell! feel free to explore my repos, and if you find something interesting for collaboration, or have some notes that help me improve, please drop me a message, I would love to hear your opinion, and suggestions.

By the way, if you feel too lazy to scroll! you can find an organized portfolio of my work 👉 here.

Also, If you are interested in learning more about Algorithms, Machine Learning, and Data Science, check my recent posts from 👉 here.

And finally, If you are interested in getting exclusive content and cheatsheets related to Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Data Science, join my newsletter from 👉 here.

Thank you!

An Educational Web Application platform built by Django framework.

marl-papers icon marl-papers

Paper list of multi-agent reinforcement learning (MARL)

neural-network-in-embedded-systems icon neural-network-in-embedded-systems

This Project aims to test the computation efficiency of the feed forward Neural Network (NN) algorithm in Embedded System using standard datasets. It started by a simple perceptron to a fully connected neural network. Using STM32F0, because of its RAM capacity (8KB) instead of ATMEGA32 (2KB), we loaded our model to the chip and let it to do the computation process to output the results as blinking LEDS., then we record the results.

piano-vae icon piano-vae

A pytorch Implementation of VAE-based musical model to generate and interpolate piano'notes using Nottingham dataset.

portfolyou icon portfolyou

A beautiful portfolio Jekyll theme that works with GitHub Pages.
