I actually noticed the branch before I saw this issue and had a look around :D
I would definitely aim to integrate it into genordcat, if this is possible in a clean way.
I will check it out in depth and let you know my thoughts.

At this point in time, I have no idea what you did here and would gladly listen to an explanation of the statistics involved.

For me, it is more about the statistics as I am not sure I understand what

without the assumption of proportional cumulative odds
means :D But knowing how you implemented it can't hurt either.

@assignUser I have implemented the non-proportional option in a new branch. I have also added some unit tests in test-generate_data. I will be updating the vignette, and once that is done, you can take a look.
