Ugh, I'm sorry! This is your shell doing autocomplete, and KBFS can't tell that it's your shell and not you doing it.
You should be able to delete them with rmdir
, regardless of what the permissions say. Does that work?

Interesting ... rmdir works for a single directory but not for wildcards. It also requires that I wait some period of time before trying to delete the next one (I was having failures trying to immediately delete them but a conversation delayed my typing and then it worked).

The pending operation list isn't eliminating the operations I've manually done for it ... I'm assuming that restarting Keybase (once I'm done) might resolve this?

If you're typing the commands out by hand, autocomplete might be re-adding the directories for you. Maybe put the rmdir
commands in a small script or something? I'm not sure why you'd have to wait in between commands. If you get errors, you can do keybase log send
and I'll take a look when I have time.

There are no errors when I try to delete the folders "too soon" and auto-complete isn't happening in the shell ... I was typing the folder name into the "create folder" dialog in Thunar when the errant folders were created. I've cleaned up everything and restarted Keybase (after an upgrade) so everything is back to the desired state in my private folders. I still have five pending operations when I execute keybase fs ps
. The log id is b90cfa02cd649face2d7dc1c but there's no hurry as everything is working.

Thanks. cc @zanderz on the keybase fs
issue.
