Hi,
If you set {smartParsing: false}
in the options dictionary, then every value gets returned as a string, instead of trying to do type coercion.
Hope that helps!

Thanks, I actually think the type coercion is a pretty cool feature!
It could be nice for the editor to perhaps accept some kind of escape sequence that would indicate type in this cases. A similar case would be saving a number as a string, which could be relevant for a phone number.
One way this could be done is to take quotes that surround a value that would otherwise be parsed as a non-string type (boolean, number etc.) to mean that the value should be interpreted as a string. So "true" would be the string true, and ""true"" would be the string "true".
I guess this is more a suggestion than an actual issue, feel free of course to close it if my suggestion is off.

Hm. I'll have to think about this.
I'm worried about corrupting/coercing the values in the data besides what someone could reasonably anticipate would be coerced. I'll try to think of a good convention for "interpret this field as a string". One obvious idea is a data-
attribute, except all of the fields are getting generated dynamically anyway so you'd have to add the data-
attribute yourself and that would be a mess.
