Yes, Android does not suspense apps while in background. But it may kill them at any time. The "keepRunning" flag prevents that.

keepRunning merely tells the Android app to not die after a pause event

It does nothing to enable long-term background running of an android app.

If you want your android app to run in the background, you must use a service.

without question, since this plugin does not implement a Service, Android is not supported.
