Hi there! I guess this could be made more clear in the README. However, building from source is really not more than
npm install
npm run make
This does not "install" the package system wide or something, it just pulls and builds all dependencies and finally creates some compiled packages in <kando>/out
directory. Currently, it creates a zip, deb, and rpm archive. I'll try to reword the README to make this more obvious 😄

I just added another section to the README. There is also npm run package
which will compile a release-mode executable without putting it right into an archive. Maybe that's more convenient for Arch 😄

I am pretty optimistic that it could work. AFAIK, Hyprland uses wlroots
which implements the Virtual Keyboard Protocol. There's also the Virtual Pointer protocol for wlroots
, so there's a good chance that we can create a backend for Hyprland!
