Hello,
So long as you input something that is resolvable from your Kaltura server, be it IP or hostname you should be fine.
from platform-install-packages.
I used the IP address and it completed ok but I'm not sure if its because of or as a result of the question Is your Apache working with SSL?[Y/n] y
but the start page is on port 80 and the admin console displays Message: Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with known CA certificates. RC : 0
I took the apache question to mean "Can I see the default apache page on port 443" but should it have been interpreted as "do you have something else running on 443" as the next series of questions recommend 443 but set the vhost to 80
from platform-install-packages.
Can you attach your answer file minus the passwds please?
Thanks,
May the source be with you,
Jess Portnoy

I reran the install and picked "n" for the apache answer but still was recommended to use https so it sounds like the answer is being ignored

Re-ran kaltura-config.sh and use Capital Y instead of y at the Apache SSL question. That prompted the familar ssl cert path and key questions which didn't come up before. Is the installer case sensitive by design?
from platform-install-packages.
Indeed, case sensitive.
Are you able to login correctly now?

Should I open a new issue for a kmc sympfony PHP framework error or do you think its related to using the IP address
from platform-install-packages.
Unrelated to IP.
Can you please check the permissions on:
/opt/kaltura/app/cache
And make sure it is 775 and kaltura.apache?
if it isn't can you please run:
chmod 775 /opt/kaltura/app/cache
chown kaltura.apache /opt/kaltura/app/cache
rm -rf /opt/kaltura/app/cache/*
And tell me if that helped? if it reproduces once more I will be happy to
hear about it as this is important and does not occur to me.

Thanks Jess,
Before ls -ld /opt/kaltura/app/cache/
drwxrwxr-x. 7 kaltura apache 4096 Feb 12 14:30 /opt/kaltura/app/cache/
After
drwxrwxr-x. 3 kaltura apache 4096 Feb 12 15:04 /opt/kaltura/app/cache/
and more importantly a working KMC console. Thanks for sticking with me on this
from platform-install-packages.
Of course:)
What is your name, BTW?:)
Also, so if I understand correctly, simply removing contents inside
/opt/kaltura/app/cache/* solved it, correct?
