apt-get install python3-pip
pip3 install pyserial
update: doesnt appear this was needed, 2.7 would work fine
from cmake-particle-firmware.

SERIAL_SWITCHER = ${FIRMWARE_DIR}/build/serial_switcher.py
PARTICLE_SERIAL_DEV = /dev/ttyACM0
START_DFU_FLASHER_SERIAL_SPEED = 19200
baud rate of 19200 14400 seems to be a sweet spot on this machine... could expose these through cmake.
