Sorry, I don't understand.
I don't see any difference in these examples if I add or remove the space, see screenshot:
Everything is correctly highlighted in both cases.
Do you mean something different?

No. Everything is right. I spoke about syntax illumination.
I doubted the settings and I tried on Windows.
There everything allocates correctly.
At me on xubuntu 12.04 gvim-gnome is established and it highlights
syntax incorrectly. :set filetype shows filetype julia.
If to load the file without expansion and to specify by hands :set filetype=julia
everything is displayed correctly.
I in perplexity. I see that it is my local problem.
I will understand.

I added in .vimrc a line
filetype plugin indent on "enable loading indent file for filetype" and everything earned.
