Weird problem!
Did you preset your ordering field?
Can your admin interface load the special css and icons as shipped together with adminsortable?
Can I access that interface on the Internet?

Figured it out...in the model we changed the field to be "order" instead of "position." In the documentation is states that the field can be named anything, as long as the ordering is pre-set.
admin.py line 72:
html = '< div class="drag" order="%s"> < /div>' % item.order
It was failing silently on item.order
from django-admin-sortable2.
