... not sure it's ID 256 for your linux rootfs, but other than that, yes, that's correct.
Maybe it would be helpful to spell out the process step by step.
Would creating a PR that updates the repo readme and/or adds a docs directory with what you've learned, make sense to help the next person asking these questions?
Absolutely, will get to that as soon as I can manage

should always be mounted as linux root /
. What gets mounted to /btrfsroot
or other directory of your choosing is subvolid=5
. What are you trying to do here?

make snapper-rollback <id>
work.
Apparently I do not get part of the concept. Maybe it would be helpful to spell out the process step by step.
I guess it might starts with
sudo mkdir /btrfsroot
sudo mount ...
this is where it leaves me.
README says "you'll have to manually mount your btrfs root subvolume to /btrfsroot
".
This is already mounted to /
though, isn't it?
I guess you can not umount your current root. So do I mount it just also to /btrfsroot
?
Or is it maybe...
ID 256
>>>/
ID 5
>>>/btrfsroot
Or am I misinterpreting root subvolume
?

ID 256 >>> /
ID 5 >>> /btrfsroot

I recommend taking a look and making sure to understand the config file.

Very much agreed. Good docs are important and take effort. Would creating a PR that updates the repo readme and/or adds a docs directory with what you've learned, make sense to help the next person asking these questions?
