Sorry, this problem still occurs for me with Firefox as the only client in the
1st
column and a bunch of xterms in the 2nd column. When I fullscreen Firefox and
unfullscreen it again, I get 1 column (before there were 2) with Firefox at the
bottom of the stack.
I am using wmii-hg2515, ©2009 Kris Maglione
Thanks.

The problem occurs with any single client in the 1st column, actually, not just
Firefox. I just tried it with urxvt and the same thing happened. Thanks.

I can confirm this behavior with hg2565. And additionally this:
Whenever fullscreening a client in a column containing two or more client turns
this
column into stacked mode and the client is at the bottom of the stack when
returning
from fullscreen. However, in this case, the number and width of columns is not
changed.

I think Kris may have fixed it locally. We'll just have to wait for him to
return.

confirming this in wmii-hg r2813.
also, possibly related:
1. open 4 windows in a display
2. put 1 in the left column, 3 in the right.
3. set the 3 windows to display in default layout (Mod+d)
4. go to left column, go to fullscreen and back
-> now the windows are in one column as this thread discribes
5. move the 1 window back in the left column.
-> now the windows in the right column are in some weird stacked/default
intermixed mode...
5.
