Using Tasker in a multi-file project about arduino-tasker HOT 3 CLOSED

Tasker.h combines declaration and implementation in one file in order to allow user to redefine the TASKER_MAX_TASKS in their .ino file. If you want to include the header file in several files you'll need to split the provided Tasker.h into Tasker.cpp with the implementation and Tasker.h that has just the class declaration. The stripped Tasker.h then can be included in more files, I believe. Please note that redefining TASKER_MAX_TASKS will no longer work correctly, I presume.

Yes, separating them both does work for my case. (however this does mean I have a local modified copy of the library and no longer receive updates)

Would I be wrong in suggesting that if TASKER_MAX_TASKS is defined before the import of the tasker.h then that would be used instead of the default?

TASKER_MAX_TASKS defined in say your .ino file will not propagate into Tasker.cpp and that's problem. That's the sole reason why implementation was injected into the header file of Tasker.
