Handle Result return value from AuthProvider.authenticate method about play-authenticate HOT 4 CLOSED

The reason not to implement this was that the Result in Play! Framework for Java is a different implementation than in Play! Framework for Scala. The two implementations are not compatible, so deciding for one would lock out the other language from using Play! Authenticate.

Thanks for the explanation. We didn't work around, we are using it as proposed by returning the URL of the redirect page. Not perfect, but it works.

Appart from this issue the plugin works very well, thanks for your work. It would be much harder to build the handling of all those third-party logins by ourselves.
