Wow yeah, this is a massive bug. Thanks for reporting it! I am currently working on rewriting my optional parsing and route expansion code in response to this. I've added this as a new test case and will add more to cover some of these other situations that the old code did not handle.

Hey thanks for getting back to me! I'm looking forward to a fix. I worked around this by just adding each route manually which worked fine but is not exactly desirable.
