Hello there 👋

My name is Joaquin Peñuela Parra. I am a colombian Physicist graduated from Universidad de los Andes (Uniandes) with experience in areas such as Theoretical Condensed Matter, Phenomenology Particle Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science. I am currently doing a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) in the group of Dr. Juan José Mendoza Arenas at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science of the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt). In this group we use tensor networks to investigate quantum materials, quantum computing, quantum transport and fluid turbulence. In particular, my current work consists of using tensor networks algorithms to study electrical transport generated by incident light coupled to a Boundary-driven Open Quantum System with the aim of optimizing rectification behavior.

You cand find my CV and other information about me in my personal website: https://sites.google.com/view/jpenuela.

course_dataframes_in_julia icon course_dataframes_in_julia

This repository contains the code that I studied during the course that I took to learn how to manage DataFrames with Julia.

heatmap_utilities icon heatmap_utilities

This repository contains a notebook (Main_Functions.ipynb) where there are python functions that facilitate the analysis of heatmaps associated with DataFrames stored in Excel files.

joacop16 icon joacop16

This repository contains my GitHub profile README.md file.

others icon others

The current repository presents the code that although it doesn't match with the other repositories, I don't want to delete it.

phenomenology_z_boson_mass_reconstruction icon phenomenology_z_boson_mass_reconstruction

This repository contains the code that I developed during my training at Phenomenology Particle Physics Group of Uniandes. During this training project, I had to reconstruct Z Boson Mass.

tensor_networks_with_julia icon tensor_networks_with_julia

This repository contains the notes that I wrote while I was learning how to manage Tensor networks with ITensor in Julia.
