I am also affected by this bug which I believe is rather critical. I noted that the above links posted by jitsi-jenkins no longer work, I would appreciate if they were updated.

I also have this bug; it is a real hassle to deal with. Any chance someone could work on this?

Our organization is also very much affected by this behavior of jitsi.
Even thou this seems quite basic, it seriously affect the usability of jitsi.
My users are abandoning jitsi and uses external instant messaging services instead.
Please help make this critical.
