It's currently not supported in the miio library. For more info you can track this issue: aholstenson/miio#130

I have a (rooted) Gen2 Vacuum cleaner and added it as a Gen1 device. All functionalities except the "return to dock" work, although the app shows a "Could not complete call to device" with the red triangle warning. If I ask it to return to dock, it simply stops cleaning.

Same here, got the Roborock Vacuum Cleaner 2, non-rroted. The app crashes every other day.

I have updated the app in the app store. Hopefully this fixes the issues with the Mi Robot Vacuum Cleaner V2. Could you please test and post the results here.
@PeetersJan The app crashing every other day might be a different issue and might also be related to my limited coding skills. Is this the only Xiaomi Mi Home device you are using?

Everything seems to work with the Gen 2 now. No more errors showing and also the "Return to the dock" function works. Thanks a lot!
