I have written the first tutorial in the wiki. Check it out. It is pretty much the same as in SFML

Looks very nice! I do have a comment though. It might not be necessary to have the "Failed Opening X" messages printed to the screen since SFML's error messaged would be printed as well. Do you want to keep that in there?

I also have a question about programming style. I've never been one for the auto keyword, but I see others use it all the time. Is this generally used in D? Am I just going to have to deal with this guy? :P

Well I am not a D style expert, but I have seen people using it a lot too. And it is convenient when the type can be inferred. It is usually used when you declare a variable and use a constructor / generic function. It is there so you don't have to type the type twice. I use it a lot when I use the std.conv's to function. And I do like this:

auto my_int = to!int("123");

Now I remember that I watched recently one presentation for D from D conference and it was recommended to use this style. I found it, if you are interested see slide 37.

An ok I will remove those "Failed" messages.

Maybe it's just me then? I'll make a post about it in the D forums and get their opinion. I'm kind of curious now.

I think we should go ahead and use the code style you used in your short example tutorial for all code in the future tutorials as that seems to be what I was told to do when I asked the D forums about it. I guess auto = someConstructor(); seems to be the "standard" for the language.

On a side note, I posted a short tutorial yesterday on building SFML and CSFML in 32 bits so that's one more tutorial! I think I want to expand it to give some more information on building CSFML since there doesn't seem to be any real tutorial out there for the CSFML building process.

All tutorials on sfml's website (with the exception of a few building tutorials) are on dsfml's website.
