Description

I developed a browser-based Weather Dashboard that utilizes dynamic HTML and CSS updates. It integrates Third-party APIs to access their capabilities, employing targeted URL requests with parameters to retrieve data from the Open Weather API. This data is then seamlessly incorporated into my project, specifically for obtaining weather information about various cities through the 5 Day Weather ForecastLinks.

Fetch and display current data

  • fetch the Open Weather API

  • connect it to the search bar form

  • when a city is searched the city name, the date, an icon representation of weather conditions, the temperature, the humidity, and the wind speed as of right now are dynamically displayed at the top of the page.

Saved search history

  • search history is saved and displayed under search bar
  • cities from search history can be clicked and lead user back to the forecast data of that city.

Fetch 5 day forecast and display it

  • fetch upcoming 5 day forecast of city from search bar

  • dynamically display the date, an icon representation of weather conditions, the temperature, the wind speed, and the humidity on each card.
