Sorry, but this can't be followed up on. Comments:
- For problems compiling JNA please come to the google group and ask there https://groups.google.com/g/jna-users. You need to tell us what you did and what broke. I only eyeballed the instructions again and they still look sane.
- I don't know why to point to
jna-4.5.X. That branch is not current, development happens onmaster. When the 5.X versions were branched of, noone expressed interest in further 4.5 development, so the branch was not updated anymore. Please check with 5.X as many improvements went into that branch. There were breaking changed between 4.5 and 5.0, but no showstoppers, users should be able to update to 5.X trivially. - crashes from native code normally come from object with wrong layout or object that were not held with strong references, although they must not be collected. This can only be observed with a minimal example. If you provide one, people can have a look.
