Home page when not logged in about dogemon HOT 2 CLOSED

In views/static_pages, check to see if a home.html.erb exists or not. Make it if it doesn't exist. I believe the static_pages controller already has a home definition. the routes.rb file should also have a get 'static_pages#home'.

Then in routes.rb, make the root not the items path, but make the root that home page.

The home page should have information about the site and new signup (even though it's in the navbar, make a big signup button somewhere on the home pge).

I think a version of the marketplace (one without buy buttons, favorite buttons, or things like that) SHOULD be visible to users not yet logged in...eventually. For now, the items controller should have an authenticate_user! at the top of the page like some other controllers. Like you mentioned, creating items should be segmented out into a new system (using item creation coupons? or that voting system?)
