The EOL date for PHP 5.5 looks like it is going to get extended to 2016-07-21.

PHP 5.5.38 has been released. Builds have been completed and will move to our testing repository during tonight's automation. Since this release contains security fixes, we will promote it to the stable repository next week (sooner than our typical two week period), and then it will remain in the stable repository for approximately one month before we move it to the archive repository.
